Step 5: Contact your local MP
Members of Parliament are in their position to represent & fight for us. At the very least you should write to your MP to inform them of your attack & let them know that you’re happy to work with them if, or when, they want to look at Hate Crime in their constituency.
You can also arrange to meet them during one of their regular surgeries.
We provide a letter template for making contact in the resources section. Download, print and send this to your MP if you don’t have time to write a letter from scratch.
